
If you want to participate in the May bond election, the last day to register to vote is April 3, 2025.
You are eligible to register to vote if:
- You are a United States citizen;
- You are at least 17 years and 10 months old on the date your voter registration application is submitted, and you are 18 years of age on Election Day.
- You are a resident of the county where you submit the application;
- You are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole); and
- You have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.

“THE ISSUANCE OF $222,000,000 OF BONDS BY THE PORT ARTHUR INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR ACQUIRING, CONSTRUCTING, RENOVATING, IMPROVING AND EQUIPPING SCHOOL FACILITIES IN THE DISTRICT, INCLUDING THE PURCHASE OF NECESSARY SITES FOR SUCH FACILITIES, AND THE PURCHASE OF NEW SCHOOL BUSES; ADN THE IMPOSITION AND LEVYING OF A TAX SUFFICIENT, WITHOUT LIMIT AS TO RATE OR AMOUNT, TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON THE BONDS AND THE COST OF ANY CREDIT AGREEMENTS.
